Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse on the Manteo Waterfront. The lighthouse is on the Manteo waterfront, on the east side of Roanoke Island. The original Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse stood at the southern entrance to Croatan Sound, near Wanchese. The new Roanoke Marshes Light houses historical and educational activities under the auspices of the North Carolina Maritime Museum. Hours vary seasonally. Free Admission.
