The Thurston House Inn - Welcome
to one of Ocracoke's most charming
old Island homes. The Thurston
House, constructed in the 1920's,
was the home to Captain Tony
Thurston Gaskill for over 75
years. It is now on the Register
of Historic Places in North
Carolina.
In
1996, Captain Thurston's granddaughter,
Marlene and her husband, Randal
Mathews, renovated the house
and started a bed and breakfast.
In 1999, a new addition was
completed next to the orginal
inn. |
