Adventure
Bound is a tent only campground located
on the edge of the Kitty Hawk Maritime
Forest. Situated in a quiet residential
area, the grounds are in open grassy
areas and a shaded, wooded areas with
picnic tables and charcoal grills
available for your site.
The
beach is only a mile and a half a
way, just down Kitty Hawk Road. Watch
sunsets, search for shells, swim,
kayak and more.
Boaters,
kayakers and canoers can launch their
boats at the public boat ramp about
1/4 mile away, just around the corner
from the campground. There you'll
have access to the Kitty Hawk Bay
and Albermarle Sound waters. Through
the maritime forest on Ginguite Creek,
there's a very scenic route full of
wildlife that will lead you under
a covered bridge. The paddling trail
through the forest is a designated
trail of the North Carolina Coastal
Reserve in Kitty Hawk.
