Subject: I LOVED IT!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to tell everyone thank you for all the great advice. We just got back from a week on the outter banks. We were in Corolla, Pine Island. I beautiful house right on the ocean we could not ask for more. My husband went on a charter and caught more tuna and Dolphin then we know what to do with jeje. He had an amazing time with the guys. Us girls just hung out and enjoyed the pool and ocean. What more can you ask for. It is a great place to connec with the family. And the blue crabs are GREAT! For those who are still counting your days have a great trip. I only wish I cold be there NOW.

Anyway, like I was sayin', tuna is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sautee it. Dare's uh, tuna-kabobs, tuna creole, tuna gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple tuna, lemon tuna, coconut tuna, pepper tuna, tuna soup, tuna stew, tuna salad, tuna and potatoes, tuna burger, tuna sandwich. That- that's about it.

Glad you have fun - we have our whole family going next July 9th and renting a huge house in Oceans Sands part of Corolla - right on the beach. How was your weather for this week?

I have to agree with the person who started this post. We just returned from an outstanding week in the Ocean Hill area. Our house was perfect for our 2 families that included 3 high school age kids and 4 college students. Everyone agreed the OBX was perfect and also agreed that we all liked the northern area of Corolla--glad to have been there rather than the Duck and Kill Devil Hills areas. We had planned on doing a number of things, but ended up spending almost all of our time on the beach. We're planning another trip already!

In responce 2379: The weather was amazing. We had a heat wave I believe, the weather was about 100-110 at noon and in the morning and evenings in the high 80`s I am not sure if that is norm. You might want to ask one of the locals. You will love it. We spent most of our time on the ebach and int he pool. We had an 8 bedroom on the ocean and we were 4 families. We were in PIne Island COrolla and it really is a paradise.

We too just got back from OBX. We stayed in Duck & it was great. We rented a 5 bedroom house, we had 6 college aged kids with us & they had a blast. Spent most of the days on the beach or in the house & was really hot & the water was warm. Kids rented an Ocean Kayak & had a blast on the waves.....CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!!!!!!

We used to stay @ this vacation rental up until 4 yrs ago. Months after we left, we got word a hurricane wiped this area out and the Tanglewood had been sold to new owners prior to this disaster. It was on the beach road across from the Wright Memorial between MP 8-9...Would love to know if anyone could share info as to the new owners and the new name. "RIP" was the owner and the general day manager's name was Thelma...hope someone knows the place!!! Please respnd @ vicki_hmltn@yahoo.com
