keep in mind, in carova you will be at least 2 hours from the fishing marinas/charters, you might want to look at a half day afternoon charter.

Aaron Kelly is a wonderful captain. I know people that catch fish with him year round. If that does not work out try "The Hooker" with captain Tom Krauss. Both charters out of pirates cove.

Nothing up in Carova. You have to come 1 1/2 South to get to the marinas. The outer banks has a wide range of charter boats and amenities. Glamorous boats that cost $2 mil to 21' open skiffs. Also there is a significant range in prices and types of trips. Most Outer Banks charterboats are licensed for 6 people, so if you have a bigger group you may need multiple boats. Shop around for what fits your needs and budget. Try Stolat Fishing Charters (www.stolatfishing.com) for affordable rates and a fun crew.

thank you, i guess i had the wrong idea about this or presented my question wrong. $1400 is out of the question. What we had in mind was not a private excursion, maybe like a larger boat where alot of people (20ish) go out, mostly strangers for a much much more reasonable price.

You're looking for a Headboat that fishes mainly in the Sound for small fish. Last year was $35 per person and these boats carry up to 50 people. Try Crystal Dawn out of Pirates Cove Marina. The other choice is an Inshore 1/2 day trip on a charter boat which will cost you $475 for six people. Try STOLAT Fishing Charters.

Try Crystal Dawn out of Pirates Cove Marina or Miss Oregon Inlet out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. The other choice is an Inshore Ocean 1/2 day trip on a charter boat which will cost you $475 for six people. Try STOLAT Fishing Charters.

You can get a headboat out to deep blue sea fishing for a lot less than $475 down at Hatteras - don't have the name or number handy, but went out last summer with my son, and caught lots of red snapper and sea bass. Only complaint was had to fish one side of the boat at a time due to strong currents.

Just called Miss Hatteras 252-986-2365. What wonderful people. 1/2 day is 45 and a whole day is 110. They also do dolphin and wildlife cruises for 30per person. I can't book my trip yet (going next spring) But I'll be calling to book with them in the spring. Can't wait.
