Where is Outer Banks best place for take-out barbeque? High Cotton, Sooeys, or Pigman's?? Were looking for chicken, pork, beef, and the fixins to go with.

Corolla is the best for a sandwich. High cotton has all the side dishes and they do a great job catering. I have personally used them! Great company and good prices and good food too!

stay away from Pigmans--the food is lousy--four of us order and all four of us placed it in the trash.

I agree with # 9964 Pigman's BBQ stinks. We put ours in the trash also. I cant beleve the health department allows them to stay in business. Our was so full of vinigar that it wasnt funny the BBQ AND the coleslaw!

While Sooey's barbecue might be good, I have been ripped off every single time I went there. Watch out for that.

Best BBQ I've had many times in Avon, Bubba's Too, and Bubba's Original in Frisco. You name it, they have it. All of it is delicious!

Sooeys is the best BBQ! Traditional eastern carolina style, but they do have a ketchup based sauce as well.

We have had BBQ at Duck Deli. And it was very good. We tried Sooeys in Corolla last night and I thought it was very greasy. There was a grease puddle on my plate under it. I had their Southern fried chicken and that was better then the BBQ. First and last time there for me.

If you're coming in from Virginia or Elizabeth City via Hwy 168/158, the Currituck BBQ Company in town of Coinjock is the place to stop. Best pulled brisket I've found, and a nice selection of sauces to sauce your own! currituckbbq.com
