Is 4-wheel drives a must? Can you get to a beachhouse rental in a regular vehicle in June??

4 wheel drive is a MUST!!!! Actually, I think it's a requirement. And many times, the 4WD's get stuck. Dont even chance it.

If you don't have 4 wheel drive you probably won't make 30 feet.

Even with 4 wheel drive it is a good idea to pressure down your tires.

Search "4WD", "4x4", Carova, etc in this site there is a lot of great information that you need to know before you go there. There are a lot of rules to driving on the beach and 4WD is a must and remember AWD is not the same. If you follow the rules of the road it is an unbelievable experience. This will be our 3rd year going to the 4x4 area and will never go anywhere else again. Definetely worth the time and effort to get there.

Yes, 4X4 is a must. You can rent one and leave your own car at Twiddy's parking lot. Drive at low tide for the most relaxing ride of your life...just 3-4 miles up the beach is a fabulous vacation waiting for you in Swan Beach. There are just a few oceanfront houses here...all the rest are semi-oceanfront homes with spectacular oceanfront views!
You get oceanfront views at semi-oceanfront prices.
