Subject: four wheel drive rental - Norfolk Airport

We are flying into Norfolk and want to rent a four wheel drive at the airport - any suggestions about who has the best rate?

check with the rental company websites.
you might want to look at the sample contract to see whether they prohibit off road use.
some do because it is so hard on vehicles.

I have been flying into Norfolk and renting a 4X4 for years. Budget has the best prices (they haven't always had a 4X4 when I arrive but they can get one from their agent on the airport road) Only accept the Ford Exporer as the high clearance will keep you from getting "panned" in the deep sand. Hertz Ford Explorers offer leather seats but are a little more expensive...try not to get one with mud-runners.

Triangle rent a car has plenty of 4*4's and are just 5 minutes from the airport you can check them out at their website. Have fun
