Subject: Wedding cake recommendations

Can anyone recommend a great baker for wedding cakes, as well as, reasonably priced. Thanks!

You might consider one of the grocery stores in the area. They would probably be much more reasonably priced than a specialty store. (and speaking from experience, the cake is so underappreciated by your guests!)

We used Just Deserts, who made a delicious Chocolate/Macadamia nut filling cake. It was fantastic. I don't know how many guests remarked about how good the cake was.

I have used melinda gregory at just dessert for weddings and many other events-the cakes are awesome!!

we just had a weding for one of our children here on the outer banks in august and i knew that all the usual are very expensive. i had a VERY pretty cake done by Milissa out the beauty/barber shop at Seagate shopping center. i mean it was cheap and good!! Three layers. Less than 75 $ good luck

try The Good Life Cafe in Kitty Hawk, in the Belk Shopping Plaza. Very good cakes.

Melinda Gregory - aka "the cake lady" - might be a bit more $ than at Seamark of Harris Teeter - but you will never forget the taste of one of her cakes!! Did our wedding cake 3 years ago & peopel are STILL talking about it (vanilla cake with fresh rasberry and peach filling)
