Who, in your opinion, has the best crabcakes in Corolla? Need to know. Will be down for 3weeks and want to surprise my husband who will be home from Iraq. Sure he would love this treat!

We just love Jimmy's buffet. I know they have crabcakes on the menu but is not in Corolla. I believe Kitty Hawk.

Jimmy's oh my, you have to get out more and stop hanging out at the local truck stop diners. Obviously you have never had good crab cakes, there are lots of places down there on the OBX that have great crab cakes.

I love the crab cakes at Goombays and if you head toward Hatteras, go to the Froggy Dog in Rodanthe. Mama Kwan has good ones also. I'm not sure about Corolla, but it's worth the drive for good crabcakes.

My husband makes the best crabcakes. Unfortunatley, we're stuck up here in Ohio...but if you want a personal chef while you and your husband reconnect we'll be be glad to oblidge! Only kidding...have a wonderful time with your husband...you both deserve it. And what a wonderful place to have a reunion! God bless you both!

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! Who knows maybe we'll visit a couple of the places suggested. If you don't mind me asking poster 8344 would you share your husbands crabcake recipe? I might even be adventurous and try it down there!!

I don't know about the crabcakes, but I want to say "thank you" to your husband and wish you both the best. My nephew is going in February and we are planning to celebrate on the OBX in late summer when he gets home.

Tommy's Gourmet Market in Duck has excellent crabcakes for you to take home and cook crabcakes. They are so good I rerely go to the trouble to make my own from scratch. Take about 8 minutes to fry up nice and crisp!
Yum, think I'll pick up a couple for tonight.
