Subject: lighthouses & museums
I will be traveling to the Outer Banks next month. Would like to see a couple of lighthouses, the sandunes at Jockeys Ridge and maybe the Wright Bros museum. What would be the most central place to stay? I don't drive.

Not driving down hwer will put you at a real disadvantage. Unlike Charleston, SC for example, the things you want to see are some distance from each other, and there are no tour companies running regularly scheduled tours.

Kill Devil Hills or Nags Head are the most central to all you want to see.

It really would be best if you came with somebody with a car.

I agree - how do you plan to get around? some lighthouses are close to 100 miles from each other.
