Subject: Last minute rental properties, deals, etc.?? Week

Hi...I'm sifting and sorting through so many rental sites that everything is blending together. I'm finding properties listed on multiple sites w/varying info.

I'm trying to plan a trip for myself, husband, two toddlers, and small low key dog for the 2nd week in sept. We'd like a priv pool, baby equip, etc.

Any leads or suggestions for finding the best property? Any room for price negotiations at this late date?

I've always had good luck with the Outer Beaches Realty ~ we love the Waves, Rodanthe, Salvo area. I believe that the prices drop right after Labor Day, so keep that in mind cost-wise. They have an user friendly website. Good luck.

You are a small family with 2 toddlers so I doubt you want more than 4 bedrooms. That's small for a rental in Duck or Corolla. There are condos in Duck, but I don't know about pet friendly. Here is a website where you can check pet friendly rentals all around the Outer Banks,

some homeowners will negoiate (spelling?) a better deal than listed but ususally only 1 or 2 weeks before vacation date. I know you said duck or corolla but there is a 3 bedroom house in swan beach (4x4) that is named AT LAST that is very nice.For those area try..Sunrealtync.com,resortquest.com,twiddy.com,elanvacations.com,bandbonthebeach.com

What's your price range? And are you dead-set on a pool? You'll most likely have to pay extra to heat it at that time of year. How about a hot tub instead?

Try the Lighthouse Villas in Corolla -- Close to beaches & pools. Brindley Beach Vacations has a lot of these to choose from. The dog part may be harder ...

You don't need pool heat here in Sept. It's the best month of all and the tourists are gone.

I've got the perfect place for you if you're willing to forego the pool. We stayed here this past April with our doggie and loved it. It's right on the water-- so close that you can relax on the deck and feel like you're on the beach OR you could even relax on the beach while your toddlers are napping-- it's that close.
Here is the link. If it doesn't work, it's Prudential Resort Realty #6262 Dolphin Lookout. It's available that week for $695-- I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed! Very clean and cheery and well stocked.

i cannot understand why an owner would not consider a lower offer then the one that is posted only a week or two before the rnetal date! I made reasonable offers two different times and they said no offer considered! NONE! If i owned a house i would accept a reasonable offer instead of leaving it sit empty. I dont get it!

KITTY DUNES HAS HOME W006 IN WHALEHEAD ON OCEAN SIDE. SHORT WALK TO BEACH. HAS HOT TUB, POOL AND ALLOWS DOGS. PRICE IS RIGHT. MONTERAY SHORES IS ALSO GREAT PLACE. GREAT COMM.POOL, EXERCISE ROOM, PARK FOR KIDS. COROLLA AREA IS LESS CROWDED THAN DUCK AND ONLY 10-15 MIN. AWAY. HAVE FUN....

brindley beach rental will negotiate last minute just call and ask them and they will call the owner of the property with your offer and get back to you if they will take it or couter it good luck

We have not been to the Outer Banks before and are looking for a place for a week that sleeps 5. We want something on a great beach and would like to stay under $1200. Any suggestions?
