Subject: Holiday Inn Express
Anybody have any info/reviews/opinions on the Holiday Inn Express in Kitty Hawk ? How new is it ?

Been there a few years, maybe 8-10. It is between the roads so it doesn't front the ocean, but it is close to it.
I would look into the new Hilton in Kitty Hawk.

We stayed there while we passed through OBX last year in March. We were only there one night, but were satisfied with it. It was clean, service was good, continental breakfast was nice. I had no complaints. There are complimentary mini-fridge & microwave in the room. Rooms are standard hotel, what you would probably find at most Holiday Inns. Unless it's changed since then, I would give it a "thumbs up". When we travel to OBX we rent a condo for the week, but if I was going back for just a night or two and didn't need to be oceanfront, I'd probably stay there. It seemed to be comparable to other Holiday Inns/Expresses we've stayed at.

Thanks for the replies, I am coming down for 5 days the first week of October, just 2 of us and renting a house would be a waste. Plus we won't be hanging out there anyways since we will have alot to do elsewhere, sightseeing, beach etc..Would like to check out a few condo's, any suggestions or other options I should look at?

these locations will be more expensive b/c they are oceanfront and new, but check out the Hilton Garden Inn in Kitty Hawk
