Subject: Nice shop to purchase Shirts/Sweatshirts

Looking for a nice clothing store to purchase OBX shirts and sweatshirts. I find it harder to locate sweatshirts. I know Gray's has nice clothing. Any other decently made shirt stores? I will be staying in the Kill Devil Hills area. I hope there's a shopper out there who can assist me in finding the right store(s). Thank you for your time.

There are tons of places, Wings, Sunsations, Parrot Bay.......drive around and look at all the places, there is no shortage of places to shop! Some are better quality than others, you just have to look at all the options.

I don't want the Wings stores, there everywhere. I'm looking for something different, with good quality, that won't fade or go out of shape when you wash it.

We just got back from OBX. I saw some very nice sweatshirts in Corolla.I'm sorry i don't remember the mall or the name of the store.I'm almost bought a sweatshirt because i was cold, but didn't want to spend the money since we were leaving the next day. The strip mall was near the lighthouse, there was a bakery and an Italian rest. there.If you are heading towards the light house, it is on the right side of the street.Maybe someone who lives in Duck or Corolla could help with the name of the mall.I believe they only sold clothing in store.
We were there on a Thursday, and maybe because the rain came and everyone was heading home, we got stuck in terrible traffic on NC12.

Parrot Bay does have nice higher quality clothing. Gray's as you mentioned is very nice. There are many stores in the outlet mall that sell name brand clothing but I'm not sure from your message if you are seeking that with OBX logo or not. Birthday Suits in KDH on the bypass has the OBX clothing and name brand higher end stuff. Also Kitty Hawk Kites and their Carolina Outdoors store across from Jockey Ridge has very nice clothing, name brand and quality with lots of Outer Banks logos if you want it, or many without if you don't. Yes, I'm local.

Most of the restaurants have a decent selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts and they are all well-made.

I've bought a few items from Wings and as long as you know what you are looking for you can get some nice, long-lasting stuff there as well.

Other stores I'd suggest:
Kitty Hawk Kites/Sports/Water Sports - all over the Outer Banks.

Surfside Casuals - all over.

Discount T-Shirt Outlet - hit or miss, depends what you are looking for. Mostly iron-ons here but they do have some embroidered pieces.

Brew Thru - everyone that's been to the OBX has a t-shirt from some year. http://www.brewthru.com - all over.

Del Sol - T-shirts that change color in the sun - something very unique! - Jockey's Ridge Crossing

The Wright Company Store - very beautiful designes - 8 stores all over.

Wave Riding Vehicles - A big selection of various WRV oriented stuff but do have some OBX gear - moderately priced - Kitty Hawk.

Farmer's Daughter - wide selection but IMHO not very durable clothing. I got a sweatshirt there for $10 and it's def. a $10 sweatshirt... all over.

Carolina Outdoors has high quality sweatshirts and Ts and caps with neat designs I haven't seen elsewhere. They have stores in Corolla, Duck, Nags Head, Manteo, Avon and Hatteras.
Check them out before you buy.
