Subject: Re: Dogs and rentals
Does anyone have any idea which hotels and motels allow pets thru out the outer banks? We are tired of leaving our 2 beagles and would like to take them along this April if we can find a place.

I looked online and found the Dare Haven Motel in Manteo - they have romms that will allow pets. I think hotels & motels that allow pets might be few & far between, but there are alot of single homes that allow them.

and on the real hotel side:
Quality Inn Sea Oatel and the Comfort Inn South Nags Head, both accept pets.
Actually you will find quite a lot of them will, for a deposit, and they have special rooms set aside just for pet owner rooms.

The travel lodge, and the john quincy quality inn, and the ramada in Kill Devil Hills will allow pets. Theres a few more, but i can not think of them now. The travel lodge is located on the beach road between two beach accesses, but in the summer the dogs are not allowed on the beach, quality inn is about a quarter mile from the town line, so you can walk your dog into nags head with no problem.

We took our two dogs last yr & rented a really nice house cslled Fun Times from Beach Realty, I think it was. Took them to jockey ridge state park, the 4-wheel area on the beach & let them run & play.
Coming back again this year with them. Just a long 12 hr trip getting there. Had a blast with them. German Shehard & chilullia

It might be a long shot, but we are staying in this house with our 2 golden retrievers the first week of April...they still have the last week available. It's in South Nags Head and is RIGHT on the water...

My husband and I have stayed a few times at Dare Haven, once with our two dogs. They are really great there. You get charged a small fee, I think it was $5. They have a small fenced in area and you can take a turn with your dog. The motel is nice, family owned, and clean. Good location too. Would recommend.
