Subject: First week in June weather , how busy

Hi We are staying in duck ocean front the first week in June was wondering if the weather is nice? And is there alot of people/

We were there the second week of June last year. It was very warm and sunny. We swam and enjoyed the beach a lot. The ocean was cold though even with the warm days but not so bad you couldn't stand it.
It could be different this year though, you just never know.
As far as being busy, it was not. There was not a lot of traffic or people on the beach. It was wonderful. However going in on the weekend when you do the grocery will be crowded as always from morning to night. Wait until a weekday to go to the store if you can.

We were there mid-June, it was fantastic. There were just enough people to be fun, and just a few so that it was comfortable. Beautiful weather, perfect swimming, lounging, golfing. Good Luck with the weather and have a blast.

Duck doesn't really crank up until the second/third week of June, once all of the northern school kids are out. The ocean may still be brisk, but you should have a great time.

I think that is the best time to go. My Aunt lives in Manteo, and I visit year round, but that is my favorite time to be there. the ocean can still be a little brisk,(if you are a northerner, you're used to that!) but the air is warm. It's not too crowded, and all the stores and restaurants are open. Also, threat of hurricanes are at a minimum.

I have been coming to the Banks for years and have found that the month of June is the best. The weather is perfect. Not to hot and your able to enjoy the beach. I have found that Hatteras Island is the place to stay if you want somewhere that is not very populated. My favorite spot is in Frisco on shoresurf lane. Nice beach and very short walking distance to the beach even for the 7th lot back. I would suggest it to anyone. IT'S GREAT!!!!

We have been going to the Corolla village area the first of june for the past 2 years, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the weather and the beaches and the people are just great. the ocean temperatures are a bit cool, but what the heck we loved it. The sand castle contests were interesting too.
