Another vote for dirty dick's. VERY expensive for what it is. Food not very good. They don't waste any spare time cleaning the place either

this year at bubba's. while we were waiting for food, my wive saw the cook in the open kitchen wipe his nose 3 times and never wash his hands. She told one of the other workers about it. little was done about it.

Regrettably, there are quite a few.

NY Pizza Pub-waitress got one entree order wrong, even though we clearly emphasized what we wanted; brought out one entree 15 minutes before everyone else's; tried to serve the wrong entree twice, even after it was cancelled; and tried to charge us for the wrong/cancelled entree. Very unprofessional.

Bob's-special listed as chicken fried steak (for breakfast). Steak was in a brown gravy (haven't seen that before, usually a white gravy), and was a putrid-tasting onion flavor. Yuck.

Kelly's-very pretentious when it is overall a fair experience at best. Called and asked about a wait for a party of eight, was told 20 minutes. Drove down within 10 minutes and got our table over two hours later. Any wonder why there is usually a line for this place? Food was good, but pricey. Waitstaff really had their noses up in the air. Felt like I was bothering them when I asked about a missing side dish, and again when I asked about paying our bill. They consider themselves THE fine dining spot on the Outer Banks and certainly try to act that way, but end up producing mediocre results.

Sam and Omie's-good food, good value. But I won't go back until the smoking ban goes into effect next year. The place, and us, reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Too bad, it would have been really good.

Dolphin Den - Yeah, I know everybody loves them, but our food was greasy and cold. Not enough service help. Our pie was slimy and looked old.

Duck Deli has really good food which we typically carr out, but last time we ate inside (in June) there were flies everywhere in the dining room and the air conditioner was leaking water down the wall.....gross!

Not impressed with Awful Arthurs, Sunset Grille, or Jimmy's Seafoof Buffet. Jimmy's food is okay, but the atmosphere is very loud and the wait is insane. Sunset Grille: very dirty and food not so great. Awful Arthurs: more of a bar not so much a restaurant. Kind of roudy bunch.

We were in town last week vacationing. I don’t leave reviews,..but I was so disappointed with Good-Egg,..I just had to seek out a place to leave a review.
One word / Three syllables. “HORRIBLE!”
We come to OBX every year,..I’ll never go back to Good Egg.
Horribly overpriced for what’s on the menu.
Horrible service.
Horrible attitude with the staff.
Just my two-cents.

Miller's On the Waterfront
The food was awful, it smelled terrible before we even entered the building, the waitstaff barely spoke English and could not understand a word he said. BUT the view was nice..

Big Al's in Manteo. Yes, the Coke decor everywhere is interesting to some, but the food is fair at best and the place horribly understaffed, resulting in a long wait for cold food. Not worth the wait or $$.

Have to agree about Millers on the Waterfront, greasy cups and silverware and yukky food. Nice view though. Disagree about Big Als, the food was great but I went at an off time when it wasn't so busy. I don't mind waiting if the food is good.

Kill devil grill. The waitress gave me way to much money in change. I realized this and went back in to return the money. The manager acted like this was the biggest pain in the world to him. They were not busy and the manager was very unfriendly. I could of just kept the money but the poor waitress would of had to make of the difference at the end of the night. They food was ok but I will probably not return because of this.
