Subject: Nags Head mp 18.5
What's it like in the Nags Head mp 18.5 area I've always stayed down close to Hatteras Village. What's it like Nags Head mp 18.5 in August?

That part of the beach is one of the worst areas in the OBX for erosion. The beach can be almost under homes in the 18-19 mp area.

What 9085 said is true, but please don't picture a war zone. Just a lot of sand bags and depending on recent storms, maybe some damage. We just got back from MP 17.1-- stayed there during the storm-- and yeah, it was bad. But we stayed at MP 20.5 in April and it was great! We normally stay in Duck or further north and we've really enjoyed the shorter drive to get to our house, which is something you would probably appreciate too. Plus you are right in the middle of so many restaurants, piers, shopping, etc... so a different pace, but fun for a change:)

I'm looking forward to being there any recommendations on things to check out? Hows the fishing I see by pics of the house we are right by a pier. Nightlife? any places play live music that you might suggest

Been staying at MP 18.5 (oceanfront) in June for the past 6 years. Love it. Much less crowded, but still close to everything. Nags Head Pier is nearby.

Prior to 2000, we stayed in Duck. Will never go back; too much traffic. South Nags Head offers the best balance of crowds/traffic/proximity to shops/dining, IMHO.
