Has anyone local or vacationing done any fishing this week? If so, how about a firsthand report?

I assume you need a Surf report. Haven't fished personally, but my sources say there is a lot of small Bluefish, some Trout and Puppy Drum from Corolla to Oregon Inlet. Work the deeper holes and slews. We have had a lot of wind since September so there was a lot of downtime in the Surf. Boat fishing is super for Tuna offshore, again a lot of weather. There are some Stripers around the bridges for small boats in the Sound and if you know your way around there is pretty good Puppy Drum in some of the holes down by the Inlet. Quite a few Sheepshead still around some secret spots. Don't have a Southern beach/Hatteras report. Sorry.
