Subject: Christmas week - anyone going this year?
For the second year in a row, my family will be spending the week in Corolla. Great relaxation week as the year winds down.

How many of you will be there too?

Yes! We have gone to Corolla, day after Christmas for the week, for the past 5 years. Always a great time!

Not Christmas but somewhat related:
When my girls were little we decided to spend Easter week on the Outer Banks,. The girls were nervous and we left a letter for the Easter Bunny at our house at home as to where we would be.
I will never forget the looks on their faces when the Easter Bunny found us and hid candy all around the rental house.

Nahhh, dont wanta drag all that stuff down there, set it up, then drag it back home again just do say I did Christmas at the beach. I like it better when its hot outside and I can actually go outside and stick my toes in the water, lay on the beach, fish without getting frostbite, etc.

Pretty much everything, I don't remember anything being closed. Even the horse tours were running.

Every year, but we have the luxury of unpacking our "silver" Christmas tree from the owner's closet. Nice no matter the weather.

Reservations made for 19-26 for our children (all grown), in-laws, and grands. Everyone will not be there all the time, but that's okay. I know they have their spouses' family they need to see. Hoping to start a new family tradition - no gifts - just time together to stay up, play UNO or Phase 10, drink some wine and sleep in. Bringing the Wii,gameboys, I pods or whatever the kids have now. AND Poppa's famous (at least with our family) southern Christmas breakfast. CANNOT WAIT. Anyone have a job opening that would pay the rent and utilities?
