Subject: November weather
What is the weather like around Thanksgiving. Can you still wade in the shallows and hike the beach?

November weather is very changeable. Thanksgiving temps range from approx. 65 down to the 40's. It can also be very windy. Walking the beach is always exhilarating whether it's 65 or 40. Although I must admit it's not to everybodys liking, but there is nothing like a strong, cool, breeze coming off the Ocean while you walk. The water should be warm enough for children or a hearty person to wade. I've seen the water temps around 60 at this time. Not everybodys cup of tea. If you want to actually get wet try the Sound, behind Jockey's Ridge (very shallow) or if you're down South take a ride to Ocracoke. The water is always warmer there. Have fun.

The weather can be absolutely beautiful, or not. As for water temps, get as south as you can because the water is warmer, for the most part, toward Ocracoke.
