staying in Manteo
Just returned from OBX last Saturday. Had
a beautiful time. Stayed at "The Tranquil
House Inn" in Manteo. Right on waterfront
and everything in town was within walking
distance - shops, restaurants, etc. Centrally
located between Corolla and Cape Hatteras
and, best of all, not too "touristy."
Found the end of August a perfect time to
go - great weather and did not run into
any traffic hassles. Read

On Roanoke Island
My mom and I will be vacationing during
the second week of June. Our plan is to
head south (Ocracoke & Hatteras) one
day and then north (Duck to Nags Head) the
other. I'm thinking of staying on Roanoke
Island? I'd love input on Roanoke Island.
